About Lumos
The original brunch spot in Sibiu — and still, after all these years, the place the city comes to for a beautiful morning.
Our story
Lumos started with a simple question: why should great coffee be reserved for the morning, and brunch for the weekend? We wanted to break both rules.
We opened our doors on Mitropoliei street because we wanted a warm, bright place, right between the cathedral and the square — a pit stop for locals and for those discovering the city.
Since then, we have grown together with our community: regulars who come every Saturday, tourists who return year after year, friends who always order "the same eggs benedict, please".

Our philosophy
We work with local suppliers whenever possible, we choose farm eggs, bread from Sibiu bakers, seasonal fruit. For coffee, we source from small roasters with clear bean traceability.
We don't use synthetic additives in the kitchen. We don't rush processes. If a poached egg needs 4 minutes, it gets 4 minutes.
The space
The Lumos interior blends the warm Scandinavian palette — cream, forest green, terracotta — with discreet Art Deco accents: brass, mirrors, clean lines.
There are corners for every moment: a tucked-away sofa for a work meeting, a window table for reading, a terrace for evening aperitifs.
On weekends, it's full. We recommend a reservation — especially for Sunday brunch.
The team
The Lumos team is small, but big at heart. Baristas, cooks, servers — all passionate about the craft and fans of long conversations at the corner table.
We like to recognise our guests and know their favourite order. If you come a second time, chances are you'll be greeted by name.
